When friends and fabric gather, great things happen!
Becca, Brooke, Julie, Sally, Joanna and I are back at it again. After converging on Vanessa at Fall Quilt Market, she graciously gave us all a mini-charm pack of her (then upcoming) line Color Theory to play with. And look, our little group grew by a few people this time... more people = more fun!
42 mini-charms + about a yard of Moda Bella white = a super cute and super fast baby quilt. The whole thing came together in an evening. This may become my go-to pattern for future baby quilts. The quilting is a mix of long-arm (on the Bella) and sewing machine (on the mini-charms).
The backing is from Riley Blake, released a few years back. I was thrilled when I saw how well it matched the pink in Vanessa's line. I'll admit that I'm a little nervous to wash all that white and all that hot pink together. I haven't had fabrics run before, but I'll still be throwing in a whole mess of Color Catchers!
