A Lovely Year of Finishes - December Goal

I feel very lucky to have my own space for sewing... a sewing room, a studio, whatever you want to call it... a space to have my machine and supplies, where I can stop mid-way through a project, close the door, and forget all about the mess. The space isn't big, but I've managed to fill it with all my favorites... fabric, my hippos, my Starbucks mug collection... so it isn't a surprise that occasionally things get lost in the room.

And unfortunately that's what happened to this stack of Double Disappearing 9-Patch blocks. These blocks were made by the ladies from Grace circle of do. Good Stitches. It was my last round as quilter, and right before life got a little crazier than normal and I had to step down from the group. I had every intention of finishing up the quilt right away, even picked out the backing fabric. But they got put aside, and then something got stacked on top of them... out of sight, out of mind.

So this month I'll finally finish this one up and send it off to a worthy charity.
