Authentic Quilt

Nothing like a good to-do list and little determination to get things done...

Authentic Quilt

I didn't purchase Authentic when it first came out. No specific reason why... some days I'm better at the whole 'I can't buy everything I like' thing. But we were on a trip visiting family in Tulsa OK, and I stumbled upon a Jelly Roll and a little bit of yardage in a quilt shop there. Out of Print fabric in the wild... it is almost like you HAVE to buy it, right?

Authentic Quilt

As the quilt top was coming together I started thinking about a backing fabric... Kona Coal maybe? Or some of the Riley Blake Essential Dot in grey that I like so much? On a whim I did a Google search for Authentic, and I found some... enough in stock for the backing... and on sale! WIN!!

Sometimes procrastination pays off!

Love your new blog. The jelly roll quilt is nice. I have a Moda "Little Black Dress" jelly roll that I still have not decided what to do with.

This is an amazing finish, love it! I also can't get enough of your sentence about finding out of print fabric in the wild. That was pure serendipity, I wouldn't be able to say no to that either lol

Yes. . you must bring it home when it's out in the wild and all!

Looks fantastic. Great finish. Thanks for linking up!!!

What gorgeous colors! I like how they and the meander create an offbeat, whimsical effect, while the pattern itself is super regular and almost austere. Would you be interested in adding this to the new quilting community on Kollabora, the crafting site?
