Scrap Vomit - Part 2

Scrap Vomit Part 2 is done!

Scrap Vomit 2

I keep a big basket of 2.5" squares next to my sewing machine to use as leaders/enders and anytime I need a break in chain piecing. Makes putting together this quilt almost mindless... sew together lots of pairs, then turn pairs into sets of 3 or sets of 4... next thing you know the blocks have come together.

There was no way I was going to try wrangling this beast through my sewing machine, so I sent it out to The Backporch Quilters. Russ did an amazing (and super-fast) job quilting this for me!

By far my favorite part of this quilt is the binding. Not because of the fabric (although I do love the Riley Blake Essential Dots in Black), but because of where I stitched the binding... I stitched my way through TX, LA, MS & AL while heading to GA for Stash Bash. Thanks to Safieh, AmyJacey for driving while I stitched from the front passenger seat.

First time I've heard that name, how silly. I enjoyed your description of a process that allows for using up scraps and spare minutes... good job finishing a goal. Nice wowrk.
