Sewing Summit was a fantastic weekend!!
Mom and I flew out early Thursday morning... so early that we decided it would be easier if I spent Wednesday night at her house. I left Megan little gifts to open each day I was gone. I loved calling home to find out which gift she had opened for the day!

We spent Thursday getting settled in our hotel room...

Just a part of our incredible room.

The view from our room
...and finding some yummy lunch...

Waffles at Bruges
Friday's big events were the Shop Hop (3 beautiful local quilt shops)...

My haul

Mom's haul
...and the opening Meet & Greet... what fun getting to meet so many quilters and sewists!!
Saturday and Sunday were filled with classes. I attended Bags 101 (with Bari J), Freemotion Quilting (with Allison of Cluck Cluck Sew), Color Selection (with Jeni of In Color Order), Mini Quilts (with Amanda Mrs. McPorkChop), Photography (with Vanessa of V & Co), and Blogging (with Dana from Old Red Barn Co.)... my head is spinning with all the information and inspiration!
We made it home late Sunday night, and I spent most of Monday on the sofa nursing a bit of a cold. I finally got a chance today to pull out all of my weekend goodies... in a word... WOW

I'm already planning for next year's event!
Look for a giveaway coming soon!

I thought about y'all all weekend...thinking how much fun you must have been having! I'm shooting myself for not going!
Glad you had a good time! Wish I could have gone. Hope you are healthy again.
I love that you use the word sewists. When I see people write about being 'not much of a sewer' or 'I've been a sewer for many years' (for example) it drives me crazy! Glad you had a fun time!
I'm so glad I got to see you both there! I wish we had been able to hang out more, but it was a crazy weekend. I adore that you left gifts for Megan each day. So cute!
Oh my goodness. You weren't kidding about your haul. Looks like your Mom was keeping right up with you.
It was so great to meet you and your mom! I loved seeing Megan's reaction to her presents everyday. Have fun on the rest of your adventures this month.
I'm belgian and I can assure you that we never eat this type of waffle for lunch and with fruit and what's the other : cream, ice cream ? ! ;-)
