2011 Quilt Market

Another Fall Quilt Market has closed... And it was a fun, busy weekend!

I'd show you my pictures from the weekend, but after 2 days of lugging my DSLR around the convention center I have a grand total of 4 pictures... and none clear or in focus. There may be a few on my phone... if I got any good ones I'll update with them.

Friday was a FULL day... Schoolhouse, Fabric 2.0 party, and Sample Spree. Schoolhouse was loads of fun! I attended sessions given by Jane Sassaman, Lynette Anderson, Anna Maria Horner, Sarah Fielke, Natalie Lymer, Vanessa Christenson, Thomas Knauer, Betz White, Amy Butler, Valori Wells, Tula Pink, Sarai Mitnick, and Kay Whitt. Lots of great information and inspiration!

Sample Spree was as crazy as ever, but I went in with a plan and got everything on my list (plus a little something extra.)
2011 Quilt Market - Sample Spree
Lecien - Woodland by Natalie Lymer, St. Ives by Sarah Fielke, Folkheart by Rosalie Quinlan, and Flower Sugar.

2011 Quilt Market - Sample Spree
A Walk in the Woods by Aneela Hoey and Pear Tree by Thomas Knauer

Saturday and Sunday were full of walking the show floor, attending book signings, meeting with fabric reps, and spending time with fun quilt peeps.

2011 Quilt Market - The Books

2011 Quilt Market - Misc Goodies

How about a little giveaway? Leave a comment and later this week I'll pick a winner to send a selection of Quilt Market and Sewing Summit goodies to.

Now for a couple of days of rest and then on to Quilt Festival.

It's *almost* a good thing that you didn't take lots of pictures - that means you were having a grand time! Looks like there were lots of great things to look at and I'm glad you're willing to share a little something with your readers :)

You lucky goose! I fear I'll never be able to attend a Quilt Market, I can only drool from afar.

You just created a reading list for me! I've asked for a couple of the books for Christmas because it would be such a treat to open a package of new sewing books.

I hope your time at QM was fruitful and fun!
