Sewing with Laminates

Have you had a chance to try out laminate fabrics yet?

After mentioning on Twitter that I had been wanting to give them a try, Jennifer Paganelli, of the amazing Sis Boom, offered to send me some to try out.

Sandwich Wrap & Snack Bag

The fabric was nothing like what I was expecting! I had this image in my mind of a think fabric, hard to wrangle, hard to sew... boy was I wrong!! These fabrics are just wonderful! Soft, easy to cut, and so easy to sew.

I'm looking forward to more laminate projects in the future... maybe a rain hat and poncho for Megan next.

I haven't used laminates either. Is it expensive? I haven't seen it locally. I guess I will have to purchase some online.

So grateful to you for sharing the good word..people are so afraid to try it cause it's more expensive than quilting fabric but so much more because it's 54" wide!!! thanks cheerio!!

I love the laminate fabric too! Perfect for a raincoat or bag or table runner!
