I guess after all the hexagons I worked on during our road trip to Tulsa last summer I was a little burned out. They've sat on the corner of my sewing desk... just waiting for me to pick them up.

Traveling Hexagon Kit

Well this week I finally got back to them. I cut up some scraps from the last couple of quilt tops I made, refilled my traveling hexie container, and even basted a couple dozen while watching TV.

Hexagons to Date

Guess I should count all these... see just how close I am to basting all the hexies I need.

Oh that is amazing. I love your little travel kit. That is such a great idea, I hope you don't mind but I am going to copy this. Keep at it, goodluck with the counting.

Why oh why did I look at your post? I thought I was doing a great job with my hexis -- then I saw your!! Aren't you anxious to get them together?

wwwweeeeellllllllll well. you better start sewing those together soon...otherwise it'll take you until you're a grandmother until it's all done. I actually think that's why they are called grandmother's flower garden quilts. because it took so dern long to get it done ;) {mostly just jealous that I don't have that many!}
