Week 11 Stash Report

For the second time this year I have a BIG FAT 0 for fabric used this week!

But that doesn't mean I didn't get some sewing done... I just didn't start any new projects.

When I started this journal of fabric I decided to account for fabric when I first start working with it on a project. See my problem has never really been finishing projects once started, but rather buying fabric for projects that never get started.

So this week I worked some more on a quilt out of Breath of Avignon Jelly Roll and Charm Pack and catching up on Rachel's Pinwheel Sampler Quilt Along (I would be caught up if I had finished week 3 blocks!)

And I got some really fun fabrics in this week! Some are for future outfits for Megan (including something for this year's Pasadena Strawberry Festival) but the most exciting was this fat quarter set
It is Za Za by Erin Michaels for Moda. When I was getting back into quilting a couple of years ago, this was one of the first fabric lines that I fell in love with. I do have a couple of charm packs and a little yardage (really little... 2 prints... maybe 1 1/2 yards total)... but when I saw this on ebay I knew I had to have it. And since it is March, let's just call it another birthday present to myself. Now I have to challenge myself to actually USE this fabric and not sit it on a shelf and just admire it.

I have a similiar thing with fabric. I LOVE fabric....its artwork to me!!! But I hate having it sit around without a I tend to buy fabric once I commit to a project and then I use it up right away. I have tons of fabric I love and project ideas brewing on the back burner but I don't have the time nor money to actually bring them to fruition. OH well...
I love your quilt blocks so far!!! Such a pretty pattern! Can't wait to see it all finished! That Moda is lovely! So glad you found it on ebay! Yaa! Have a great week!!! Love these updates too!

Cathy - I wish I had your restraint for fabric!! i just can't resist a beautiful FQ bundle... ha ha ha! I do sometimes wonder if I'll ever get a chance to use everything... maybe my little one will take up sewing in a few years and I'll be able to share it with her.
