GIVEAWAY!!!

So after winning the lovely kitchen towels from Crystal, I found out today that I won a set a potholders as part of her July Blog Giveaway! How lucky am I? Hop over to her blog and check out her latest giveaways... like everything she makes, they are so pretty!!

And speaking of giveaways, I am VERY behind on posting my Pay It Forward giveaway. Wow - I can't believe it was May when I won Crystal's Pay It Forward giveaway. Part of my delay has been available time, but the other part has been inspiration... I've been working on quilts and children's items so much lately that I just couldn't get inspired to make something for a giveaway. Then while day-dreaming at work today, it hit me! I know just what I want to make! Want to know what it is? Well you'll have to enter the giveaway and stay tuned...

Here are the rules:
1. Post a comment here by the end of Sunday (07/26) letting me know which of the following is your favorite holiday:
Christmas
Thanksgiving
Halloween
Easter
4th of July
Valentine's Day
Your Birthday
2. I'll pick a name Monday morning and put together your item that week.
3. If you win, please consider passing along the goodness with a giveaway of your own.

Ha ha - I love them all! Right now, Halloween is my favorite, but November 1st, I transition to Thanksgiving being my favorite lol! I think Easter is probably my all-around favorite, though :o) LOL!

Easter because of the memories and traditions.

My favorite holiday is Halloween. When I was living at home my mom and I would decorate the entire house up and invite special needs kids over to tour a "haunted" house. (of course nothing was scary) Not sure who got more out of it, us or them.

My favorite? Valentines day for sure. The colors are to die for and what is better than a day filled with extra love and kindness? Thanks for hosting a giveaway! They are the best.

I love the idea of a "pay it forward" giveaway...thanks for passing it on! :)

My favorite, Christmas, hands down! I love the snuggly, flannel pjs by the fire with hot cocoa and toasted marshmallows....this is the routine Christmas Eve tradition at our house, along with watching The Polar Express!!! I picture my kids as adults coming home with their families and us still doing it! Hope so! :)

I am kind of with Teresa in this one... in that I wouldn't pick a holiday. Mostly cause my husband and I don't celebrate them in the traditional ways that most people do. We do the religious church going bits, but not anything more, no decorating or anything. I do love the family parts of holidays but also love that my family doesn't need a holiday to feel like getting together.

I guess this doesn't really count does it... And I will hopefully be able to do the giveaway thing myself, this one doesn't seem to be too time consuming in that it's one thing you are making versus the other one where it's 5 things, and I still have 4 things to make for 2009.

Anyways, Thanks for doing it!

I love Christmas because the kids get so excited with all the preparation!

My birthday? Maybe? Kind of?

It's the only "holiday" that I don't feel like I have to do any preparation for!
