Thanksgiving day was fun. We followed tradition... mom made the turkey, stuffing, potatoes, and pies and I made side dishes - Mac & Cheese, Corn Casserole, Green Bean Casserole, and Cheesy Spinach Casserole. The first three are holiday standards and HAVE to be made every Thanksgiving and Christmas, but the Spinach was a new one this year. Mom and I liked it, but I don't think anyone else even tried it. Oh well - I'll have to find another one to try for Christmas. Guess I'll be flipping through old issues of the Southern Living Christmas books in the next couple of weeks.

I really liked the way the pattern came out! I'll have to make it again. I wasn't thrilled with the way the applique came out though. I loved the test stitch I did, but ran out of my prefered stablizer before I got to the actual top. I know I'm the only one that noticed the little imperfections, but it was still a little dissappointing. And I had my camera on the wrong setting, so the pictures don't show the true colors.
